It’s 4:40pm. I’ve had the light on for the last hour, and I just closed the curtains. I guess it’s probably staying light until 9 or later in New Zealand at the moment.
On the other hand, we’ve got the chance of a white Christmas.

Rowan’s going to be spending christmas in iether Milan or Basel. I’ll probably be working. My one consolation is that hopefully you guys will all freeze your asses off…
Asses, donkeys, mules, oxen… there’s a reason them beasts of burden were tucked up in the stable with Our Bawling Lawd round Christmas-time rather than out there in the freezing cold. (Obviously thermal oxen-soxen didn’t exist back then.)

Oh, it’s not so bad. It’s been raining here too. Admittedly, it’s been 20-odd degrees at the same time. I hate this kind of weather :)
But it has just been getting dark at about 10ish, you’re right.

20-odd degrees! You don’t know how lucky you are. (It did double-post, it is silly, I cleaned up for you.) In defense of Amsterdam, apparently in mid-June the sun will set at 10:06. But that’s a long time to wait…
