There is an online petition in progress, asking the Tweede Kamer to support open standards and open source software. The request is for regulations ensuring the use of open standards in the public sector, for open-source licensing of software developed with taxpayers money, and for further research into the possibilities for active national involvement in the open source and open standards movements. The petition is in Dutch, and nettime-nl has an eloquent explanation of the issues. (Headsup from justlol.org.)
