mass-produced unique artifacts

If that isn’t a contradiction in terms… They aren’t very pretty, but it’s an interesting idea. Randomised fractal-like generation of a design (think Koch snowflake, Sierpinski gasket) then run it through a 3D printer. It’s breed, brought to you by notnot.

Lots of other cool stuff on their site, including a robot masseus and a highly cute morph sequence.

Automated stroking is an exciting topic, because it brings together our interests in meta creativity, biology and artificial intelligence, and of course the pleasure of being stroked.
